A Night They'll Never Forget pt. 1

Eric and John stood dumbfounded outside the rustic bar, its neon signs flickering temptingly above the entrance. The bouncer had just rolled his eyes and tossed their fake IDs back at them. “Nice try, boys. Come back when you’re 21.”

Frustrated and eager to salvage their night, the two frat boys were about to head back when they were approached by two older men in cowboy hats—William and Henry. Their smiles were easy, their shirts crisp, and they looked like they belonged in this place.

“You fellas trying to get in?” William asked with a grin, nodding toward the bar.

“Yeah,” Eric muttered. “Bouncer’s not having it.”

“Well,” Henry chimed in, “what if we told you we could get you inside? But it comes with a little… arrangement.”

The boys raised their eyebrows.

William reached into his shirt and pulled out a silver chain with a small, gleaming cross. “Family heirloom,” he said. “Let’s just say it’s got a bit of magic. It can swap two people’s bodies—just for a bit.”

John blinked. “You’re joking.”

“Try us,” Henry said, grinning. “You let us borrow your bodies for the weekend. We get to experience what it’s like to be young again—hit a real college party, maybe relive the glory days. In return, you two get our bodies and walk into this bar no questions asked. You get drinks, dancing, the full experience.”

Eric and John hesitated, but the thought of actually getting into the bar—and the sheer ridiculousness of the offer—pushed them over the edge. They nodded.

William unhooked the chain, said a few quiet words, and the world shimmered around them.

Suddenly, Eric found himself standing a little taller, his body broader, with gray hair peeking from beneath a cowboy hat. He looked down at his buttoned-up striped shirt and thick leather belt. “What the hell…”

John, now in Henry’s white shirt and mustached face, stared at Eric, wide-eyed. “Dude. This is insane.”

Across from them, William and Henry—now in the athletic, youthful bodies of the frat boys—stretched their limbs and smirked.

“Damn, it feels good to be twenty again,” William said, checking himself out in the window’s reflection.

“Don’t worry,” Henry told them. “You two just enjoy your weekend. And don’t do anything we wouldn’t do.”

And with that, the newly aged-up Eric and John stepped into the bar, while the older men, now young again, vanished into the night toward the wildest frat party they could find.
